My love of Barre began a few years ago when Urban Yoga first introduced it to Fort Worth. I had been working out with a trainer after I had my daughter, and even though I learned how to “get in shape”, there was something missing. I’d read about Barre and was intrigued as I had taken some ballet in college and loved it. I tried a class at Urban Yoga and was instantly hooked. I started noticing the changes in my muscle tone, strength and posture, and within a few weeks I knew that Barre was something special and I wasn’t going to stop. I became a regular student and when I was approached about training and teaching, I couldn’t have been happier. I trained intensively with Hilary Shellhorse and began teaching Barre in 2012. Barre has changed me both physically and mentally, and I look forward to sharing it with others.
