Gina Shelton, ERYT-500, IATY Certified Yoga Therapist studied yoga therapy at Loyola Marymount University which trains yoga teachers in the Krishnamacharya lineage whole-being approach to healing. Gina received hands-on training, working with students with chronic pain and dis-ease (including hip and knee replacements, back pain, torn rotator cuff, Parkinson’s, neuropathy, addition, anxiety and depression) during a mentorship at Tensegrity Yoga Therapy Clinic. Gina is certified as a Gait (walking) Therapy practitioner.
The benefits of yoga therapy in either a one-on-one or small group session will guide you on a journey of discovery and deeper insight into your individual needs and life purpose. You are completely unique, with your own movement, emotional and thought patterns that have helped you navigate life up to this moment. While group classes provide a shared nurturing experience, they will never fully address all of your unique needs. An individualized yoga therapy practice provides a new perspective into your own body, mind, emotions and awareness of how patterns, habits and beliefs affect your daily life and well-being. The goal is to empower you and heal yourself.
